Scanners / LowLife

all the people in this video should have had on the same color clothes.

I Love the LA Riots Remix to this song!

top ten Best ever Sci Fi Flicks

top ten Best Ever Sci Fi Flicks

ok, so I'm a straight up NERD for this genre!

Photobucket

10. The Matrix

well… this is my number one pick for all genres- so it really doesn’t even rank.

Photobucket

9. They Live

This is one of my favorite movies- a bit scary conceptually not in execution. This movie said a lot more than hooo scary aliens taking over our planet. It spoke about the greedy, needy consumption of mankind. Or is it mankind, in control of the torture of this planet and its people???
Plus, it had the best street fight in movie history.

Photobucket

8. Aliens

This one ranks number eight because there was know new idea or concept behind these movies just shoot ugly Aliens… Not even a creative name for the movies they spent all the creativeness on the set and Costumes.

Photobucket

7. Total Recall

For an Arnold shoot’em up this one had a really dope plot. If you haven’t seen this for a while (I saw it when I was like 5) and cant remember much about it other than an odd alien chick with 3 tits- Netflix it there is much more in this film!

Photobucket

6. Blade Runner

I am the biggest Akria fan ever so I love Blade Runner. Even if the story gets lost toward the end and it dwindles down into a not so hype finale, I will still love this movie. The imagery and the concepts about the future it brought up are good enough for me any day!

Photobucket

5. Jurassic Park

Ahead of the game on this one… Hard to believe it was made like 20 years ago. Hard to believe the streets didn’t break out into a riot when people saw the god awful sequels.

Photobucket

4. The Predator

Most of that stuff I said for number 3 applies this one. WOW, I never get tired of this movie no matter how many times I see the rated G version they show on TV all the time. F* that version!

Photobucket

3. The Thing

This one flies under the radar, you might not have seen it- Your big mistake. Great sc fi, great horror, great drama/suspense, plus great action. Hell, If you sat through Alien vs. Predator you owe it to your self to watch this movie.

Photobucket

2. Terminator 2

I saw this in the movie theater- FUCKING AMAZING! They cant not top this one today. I think the dudes that made this were from the future and brought all types of new computer CGI shit back to make this movie. I’m gonna make a movie about that story.

Photobucket

1. Return of the Jedi

I got nothing to say about this one, Its self explanatory. Shouts out tho the interstellar galactic pimp Jabba the hut, oh and Pizza the Hut too!

Honorable Mention

Gattaca

This is where we are heading people. Genetically engineered humans, shit what parent wouldn’t want a healthy, physically perfect son or daughter? $$$

The Abyss

I can really remember what this was about but it had cool graphics, not like that lame movie the Sphere. I know it was better than that movie.

Flight of the Navigator

Gota Rep for my 80’s babies! This was dope on a lot of levels not just a kid flick at all.

StarGate

Deep. It broke down your existence.

StarShip Troopers

Cool for me when I was a kid. Guns, Bugs, and head shots!

Hitich Hikers Guide

Insightful not very funny to bad they tried to make it funny…

Men In Black

I truly believe there are aliens among us- I have lived in some areas where you would t0o! I have just seen things you can’t explain.

The Prestige

good one. Wait this is the good one and not that other one that came out the exact same time and was not good- right? A movie about obsession, ha! I know a thing or two about that topic.

Bitter Sweet song

I was really, not so happy about the album but I love this song (It's a remake go figure).

info about the artist:
Since I'm in a new city it would only be proper for me to write a new about me. I'm a perfectionist to a fault, so things like this usually take me longer than they should. For the last 10 years I've moved back and forth between Seattle and Indianapolis. I enjoy great food (duck pizza is the bomb!) and banana milkshakes. Art makes up a large part of my life, I can't remember the last day I went without drawing on something. If I did I would probably spontaneously combust. You could say I'm the closest thing to a Renaisannce man, I might quote some Young Jeezy and in the same breath AC/DC. Family is extremely important to me, my mom's the only woman that's ever deserved to hear the words "I love you". I believe there's a purpose for every person placed upon the surface , so I constantly find myself setting goals and achieving them. You could say, I'm used to getting what I want. With the exception of turning Water to Tequila, we're still working on that one. For some reason my memory works like an elephant on adderall.
It's time for chicken tacos so, I'll finish this up later.
And yes, that's me painting.

Crax Crayne...I knew this was going to be wack!

It cost like 50 bucks to go to the movies nowadays. You just can't go just to be going anymore like you could back in the day.If I were to see a dud at a movie theater these days, I'd punch a movie employee in the face for stealing my hard earned duckets. So unless I KNOW the movies going to be good I usually go to http://www.watch-movies.net/ or use a more sinister method to check movies out.I deserve that right don't I?The children of the eighties built the movie industry. And what did the movie industry do?They made me pay my last few dollars to see Star Wars episode 1.They tricked me into seeing Batman & Robin. My point? These bastards deserve every hardship they're getting!!!

Anywho..I had low expectations for Max Payne anyway...you want me to pay to see movies again? Stop giving me half-ass movies...got it.

PEOPLE I GIVE YOU.... W.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Director Oliver Stone, who has made movies about Presidents John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon, is developing a project about the current occupant of the White House, but promises it will not be a hatchet job, Daily Variety reported on Sunday.

Stone is in talks with Josh Brolin, who is starring in "No Country For Old Men," to play the title role in "Bush," the trade paper said.

He is shopping the script to financiers and hopes to start production by April, with a release date in time for the election in November, or the inauguration of Bush's successor in January.

Stone told Daily Variety that he planned to make "a fair, true portrait" of Bush, focusing on such areas as his relationship with his father, President George H.W. Bush, his wild youth, and his conversion to Christianity.

"It will contain surprises for Bush supporters and his detractors," said Stone.

He said Brolin was better looking than Bush, "but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger."

Ligyro///crazy, innovative /// Interview

Photobucket

Ligyro
crazy, innovative

Photobucket

I met members of Twin Monster Yetti One and Lorax at our local watering hole The Front Page “Saturday Night Live”. I knew them for a while before I got to see Twin Monster Perform Live- really cool dudes they come at this hip hop music from all angles. When I finally got to see Twin Monster live there was a third monster on stage and the dude was wild (he was actually the crazy ass drummer in the last band I saw CoinSlot)! Ligyro, the only way I can describe what I saw is “insanely intelligent”. He was rapping and playing the keys- adding all type of crazy, innovative sounds to the beat and his energy was amazing. Ligyro brings free spirited honesty and enthusiasm to every stage he touches. Plus, his musical ear for creative off the beaten path sound is unfathomable. I just had to get more info about this dude!

  1. ok so what is your relation to music? I know you’re into all kinds of music, I even have a folk album by you (which is very good BTW in my description it would be next to a Bjork album and The Decembrist album). So where and how did this journey start?
It started as early as I can remember. My parents were always way into music and supported me from the beginning. I got my first guitar at age 10 and picked up bass, piano, and drums a little later.

  1. What part do you play in the hip hop group Twin Monster and how did all that come about?
The part I play in Twin Monster is producer. It all came about when our photographer, Jessie Freund, spoke to Aaron (Yeti) about what he wanted to do musically and he expressed interest in working with me. I spoke to him shortly thereafter and he told me that him and Cory (Lorax), whom I’ve been working with for years, had been talking about doing an EP together as Twin Monster. I knew that it would be a banging combination, so we started work immediately. A couple months later, The Lost Habitat EP was done. At that point, Pattern-Hungry Records set up a couple release shows and things took off from there.

  1. How would describe what Pattern Hungry Records has and is going to accomplish?
What Pattern-Hungry has accomplished is to create a community of musicians and artists that places equal importance on the above ground and the underground, music on and off the stage. We’re just as excited about a night of improv by the fire as a huge show. What we’re going to accomplish is to continue to expand our network of great people and help everyone get up.

  1. Where does your inspiration come from and if you were to get your inspiration from a movie what movie would that be?
My inspiration comes from the people around me. I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by a community of people that I love dearly. Most of them happen to be amazing musicians or artists (both in most cases) as well, which makes it even better. If I had to pick a movie it would be the Darren Aronofsky film “Pi”. It deals with seeking to quantify the mysteries of God and ultimately resigning to the overwhelming beauty that can never be put into words or numbers.

  1. What is the last live show that you went to and were amazed by what you saw?
Radiohead at Deer Creek blew me away. On a local tip, it would have to be Grampall Jookabox at Big Car. He was dope.

  1. What’s the best gift a person could give you and what’s the best gift you have given?
The best gift that a person could give me would be their sincere presence. I feel that is the best gift I’ve given.

  1. If you could go back in time and stop one assassination in history who would be the lucky person?
Martin Luther King Jr. He was a beautiful example of a leader who gained respect and notoriety with integrity and heart. People listened to him because he spoke directly to the human spirit.

  1. And, almost last where did the Name come from Ligyro and Pattern Hungry?
Ligyro is a prefix that means loud noises. It came from Ligyrophobia, which is a fear of loud noises (I definitely do not suffer from this). Pattern-Hungry came from being hungry for all the patterns that emerge in our world when you can become tuned into them. It’s about a desire to be connected with the natural order in all things.

  1. What Next for you?
Visual art. The Pattern-Hungry family formed an artist collective, Knifebear, and will be doing our first group exhibition in Gallery No.2 at The Harrison Center for the Arts in December. The opening will be on the first Friday (Dec. 5th) and we’ll be having a music event every week for the rest of the month (check the Ligyro solo show on Dec. 12th). There will be paintings by myself, as well as work by Justin Cain, Jessie Freund, Cory Salas, Whitney Williams, and Ian Gunn.

  1. Add anything we might have missed that you want people to know.
