nU tacK is the brain child of electronic music producer Gary Baxter and is the result of years of searching for a style and identity that suits his split personality.Having played keyboards for indie bands and an industrial techno band and even a brief stint as frontman/vocalist for a rock band it was time to explore more personal endeavours which led to many experimentations in sonic vibrations and also a lot of wasted time,audio cassettes and floppy discs.After moving from Hertfordshire to Bournemouth around 2003 and a brief break from any music activity the urge came back and the experiments were once again in full swing.A couple of split personalities (involving a bit of circuit bending) and set-up changes later and nU tacK was born,born from a true passion for electro/retro culture and the need to get away from trying to sound like anything else.Having finished his debut album Bass,Beats And 8-Bit Bleeps he was promptly snapped up by ibar records which resulted in the live debut at ibar's TRASH, playing an hour set before A1 BASSLINE took to the decks and dropped the bass.At the same time as all this was going on nU tacK managed to produce the ep GameBoy Rocking,6 tracks all produced using Gameboy Camera and Pocket Music which has been snapped up by Control+Fuzz,the awesome French net-label(YOU CAN ALSO FIND A DOWNLOAD LINK FOR THE EP IN nU tacK's BLOG).nU tacK is currently working on a second album whilst looking for more gigs in the UK,so if you're a promoter and looking for something a little different you can contact nU tacK through this page
