NYC Garbage started as an experiment in packaging design. The project, evolved out from an argument over the importance of packaging to the consumer. To prove that he's right, Justin started to pack up some garbage in a nice package cube. Each tightly sealed box comes with a “Garbage of New York City” label and a small sticker with the date that the trash was picked. They are also signed and numbered.

Several years and more than 1,200 sales later, the cubes now go for as much as $100 from the starting price of $10. Well, that because the garbage now considered art.
