I am a Naptown native and I agree with what Brookinz was sayin about hip-hop being deep underground in Indy. People here love hip-hop though, especially locally grown. Do you want gigs? I'm sure you will take what you can... maybe. Have you tried the Mousetrap? earth house collective? most of the great music here is underground.... unless you do punk! in my opinion, that's part of what makes the great music so fantastically great! - it being underground. just a couple ideas! keep ya head up!
Oh, also, the Jazz Kitchen has this thing in the back, after the Wednesday Jazz session (very, very cool), a dj hooks up and spins, he might have the lock down, but they might be lookin for something you have to offer.....
to Anonymous: thanks for the help and advice but yeah man that what we are talking about undergound is cool but it is too undergound here. Because we have been on the bill with ppl like Lupe Fiasco, Kids n the Hall, Kool Kieth we have played at the melody inn, jazz kitchen, vogue, casba, spin/padio, Murphy building, ect. And you still don't know who we are.
I had my first pice of ass to Grey Granite music!!!!!! It was great!!!!
