PROPS! has been working on this latest mixtape "High As The Stars: Planet of Marz" for over 2 years now and has been putting in late nights in Vitamin D's studio putting on the finishing touches. "What Up" is the first "official" release off that album. The beat is produced by Sea Notes and the video was directed by Ryan Kirk from Gator Vision Productions.
The album itself will drop 12.12.12 but was originally an album that we were set to drop last Valentine's day but PROPS! felt like it was not complete so we decided to push back the release date to add some key new elements, like the Mars rover landing. Along with the obvious features w/ Wale and Stalley, he has collaborations with A.M.B.U.S.H., Serius Jones and a track called "Superstars" with Seattle's own Vitamin D (my personal favorite) and a little something for everyone throughout the album. Growing up in Indianapolis and living in places such as Miami, Atlanta and now Seattle definitely shows throughout this project with a wide range of true underground hip-hop with a crossover commercial appeal.
